Many interesting activities are organized during the event, such as the launch of new tourist destinations, promotions, farm trips and ticket discounts such as discoveries to Xuyen Son Ho (Trans-Mountain Lake), Hang Toi (Dark Cave) and kayak rowing.
The festival will include the announcement and receipt of the UNESCO certificate recognising Phong Nha-Ke Bang as a World Heritage for the second time, coupled with a stellar art performance and splendid fireworks display.
Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park will open tours “ Va cave – Nuoc Nut Cave – various exploration”.The cave, named Kim for the tourist, will wow visitors with a 1km-long green river flowing inside and a yellow sandbank alongside.
In a framework of the festival, the 2016 programme, on sale on the website of Oxalis Adventure Tours, the sole operator allowed to run the tours since early August, offers five-day and four-night tours at the cost of 66 million VND (roughly 3,000 USD) per person during the January–August period. Each tour requires a team of 25 porters and cooks, a tour guide, two cave experts and two park rangers.
