More sleespan spanods now available at international terminal of Hanoi airspanort

Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport has recently put into service more sleep pods to serve passengers of delayed or canceled flights while they are waiting at its T2 international terminal.

The Vietnam Aviation Tourism Corp (VATC) started offering the service of six new double sleep pods on Monday at Terminal T2, taking the total number of sleep pods at the airport to 20, including three single rooms and 17 double rooms.

In July 2014, the VATC put three single and 11 double sleep pods to use at the T1 domestic terminal, marking the first time ever Vietnam had had this kind of service.

Like Terminal T1’s pods, the new rooms at Terminal T2 are equipped with amenities including a bed, wardrobe, telephone line, TV set, and Wi-Fi connection, serving as quick places for passengers awaiting their flights to stay.

A new double pod costs VND150,000 (US$6.89) per hour for the first six hours. The fee for the next three hours is VND142,000 ($6.52) per hour.

The cost for a package of over eight to 24 hours is VND1.136 million ($52.18).

According to a VATC representative, the number of passengers using sleep pods has soared one year after the corporation launched the service at Terminal T1.

The company is running a 15 percent discount program in the first month of inauguration, until August 31.
