Xuyen Son Ho tour takes travellers deep into Phong Nha-Ke Bang Park





The six-hour tour is billed as a highlight of the Quang Binh Cave Festival 2015 programme given its peculiarity and mystery.


Phong Nha cave, part of the UNESCO-recognised World Heritage PhongNha-Ke Bang National Park, was discovered in 1899 but it was not until1990 that the British Royal Cave Association stumbled across Xuyen SonHo.


During the journey to Xuyen Son Ho, which is located inside thestalactite Huyen Khong Cave, visitors participate in a 1,000-metre trekafter kayaking 4,500 metres, passing Fairy Cave and Paradise Cave.


Established in 2001, the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park is consideredamong the 238 most important ecological zones in the world. 


The Vietnam Records Organisation listed four tourism sites in Quang Binhamongst the top 50 must-see travel destinations in Vietnam, includingPhong Nha Cave, Ngang Pass, Nhat Le Beach and Phong Nha-Ke Bang NationalPark.


With the opening of Son Doong Cave in 2013, Quang Binh was instantlycatapulted onto the bucket lists of travellers all over the world.


The New York Times named Quang Binh one of the most attractivedestinations in Asia and ranked it eighth out of the world’s 52 must-seesites for 2014 while US magazine Business Insider included Son DoongCave in its list of the 12 most impressive caves.
