Germany to host concert in town next Friday

VietNamNet Bridge – A free concert titled “German season in Vietnam” will take place at the HCMC Opera House in District 1 next Friday.

The event, hosted by the German consulate general in HCM City and featuring popular local artists, is intended to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Germany and Vietnam and the forthcoming Vietnam visit by German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier to HCM City.

Viewers will have the opportunity to enjoy performances by Vietnam Idol 2015 winner Nguyen Trong Hieu, a Vietnamese German artist born in Bad Kissinggen in Bavaria, actor/singer Lam Vissay, rapper Kimmese, singer/MC Ho Trung Dung and artists of the well-known contemporary dance show Suong Som (The Mist).

Registrations for tickets are open until Friday at pr-101@hoch.auswaertiges-amt.de. Spectators can take a maximum of five tickets each and are advised to give their full names to organizers. Printed confirmation emails and ID cards with photos should be produced at the door of the HCMC Opera House at 7 Lam Son Square in District 1 on the performance day.
