Entrance fees at My Son Sanctuary to increase by 40-50% next year

HOI AN (VNS) — The management of the UNESCO-recognised ancient Hindu temple site, My Son Sanctuary, has decided to increase entrance fees by 40-50 per cent from January 1.

The fees will rise from VND100,000 (US$4.5) to VND150,000 ($6.7) for international visitors, and from VND60,000 to 100,000 for Vietnamese.

The fee hike is in line with the introduction of new services, including electric vehicles carrying tourists from Khe The Bridge to the relic site, and Cham music performances at the site.

The sanctuary has invested more than VND13 billion ($577,000) to build ticket booths, toilets and a parking lot.
