International beauty contests feature girls of Vietnamese origin

VietNamNet Bridge – Many young women of Vietnamese origin have attracted special attention at beauty contests worldwide. 

Monika Leova – Miss Earth 2013 of the Czech Republic

Born in Prague, Monika Leova’s mother is Czech and her father is Vietnamese. She has returned to Vietnam twice with her family.

She participated in the Ceska Miss (Miss Czech) in 2013 and was selected as the Czech Republic’s representative at Miss Earth pageant in the Philippines.

Michaela Nguyenova – Miss Supranational Slovakia 2014

Michaela is currently living in Ziar Nad Hronom, Slovakia. The 19 year old was a chef at the Turcianske Institute of Social and Humanities when she took part in the Miss Slovakia pageant in 2014 and won the right to representative her country at the Miss Supranational 2014. However, she then announced that she would not participate in this pageant.

Hoang Kim Cung – Miss Nebraska – USA 2015

The 24-year-old girl from Grand Island, Nebraska is now a reporter for NBC in Nebraska. She is also a famous stylist and a fashion blogger on social networking sites. 

Hoang Kim was the winner of the National  American Miss. She also took part in Miss Nebraska USA and represented her state at the Miss USA pageant.

Although she has not reached the final top 15, Hoang Kim made fans not only domestically but also internationally for her charismatic and confident presentation and communication skills.

Madeleine Ho – Miss Earth 2015 Poland

Madeleine is a student at the University of Law Warszawski, Poland. She recently was named Miss Earth Poland and will represent Poland at the upcoming Miss Earth World.

Previously, she was crowned Miss Egzotica Organization 2014, a beauty contest for mixed-race girls living and studying in Poland.
