9th Northeastern tourism, sports and culture festival in Bac Kan

Ten provinces will include Bac Kan, Phu Tho, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Cao Bang, Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, Bac Giang, Quang Ninh and Vinh Phuc.

The festival aims to promote the cultural identities of ethnic minority groups in northeastern Vietnam; contribute to developing the economy and improving the material and spiritual life for local people; popularize the potential from international friendships for the development of culture, sports and tourism as well as the value of the cultural heritage of ethnic minority groups in the region in renovation, integration and development.

Diverse cultural activities, including performances of cultural festivities or extracts of outstanding festivals of ethnic minority groups; mass art performances; shows on traditional clothes of ethnic minority groups; an exhibition on cultural products and tourism in Bac Kan province; a photo exhibition on specific cultural identities in the region will be held.

In addition, sports and tourism activities will also organized, such as football matches and seminars on tourism development in the region./.
