VietNamNet Bridge – Every evening, a group of people go to Hoan Kiem (Sword) Lake to practice dancing under the instruction of senior dancers Mr. Huy and Mrs. Hao.
From 8.30pm to 10.30pm, dance lovers go to the Sword Lake to dance.
They are members of the Loc Vung dance club, instructed by dancers Huy and Hao.
As the dance class is held near the famous loc vung tree on the shore of the Sword Lake, it is named Loc Vung.
The members share a common hobby of dancing. One member said he loves dancing on the lakeshore because he loves the outdoor atmosphere. The dance floor is very near his home and he can dance with friends or neighbors.
The club has about 30 members and most of them are middle-aged. The youngest is 39 and the oldest is 72 years old. Most of them are residents of the Old Quarter.
They not only dance together but also help each other in their day to day life.
