Tran family trio reunite for new concert

People’s Artist Tran Hieu, musician Tran Tien and singer Tran Thu Hafrom the same family with music tradition will reunite for a new concertnamed “Tran gia nha nhac” (Tran family playing music) at the FriendshipCultural Palace in Hanoi on October 3 at 8 p.m.

People’s Artist Tran Hieu has just turned 80 while his youngerbrother/musician Tran Tien is nearly 70 years old.

Singer Tran Thu Ha,Hieu’s daughter, is now living and working in the U.S. According toHieu, this is such a rare chance for all of them to gather on stage.

Tran Tien will be also a narrator for the whole show without MC. Thetrio will share with audiences their old stories in the family.

With thetheme of “Chuyen pho ben song” (stories of a riverside town), theconcert will introduce latest works by musician Tran Tien.

There are twosingers invited to join the show – Meritorious Artist Tan Minh andVietnam Idol 2010 winner Uyen Linh.

Hieu also said that his brother Tien would launch his autobiography at the event.

Tickets to the show which are priced from VND600,000 to VND2.5 millionare available for purchase at the Friendship Cultural Palace at 91 TranHung Dao Street in Hanoi.
