Young talent Phuong My and Julien Fournie from France will open the fashion week at 8 p.m. on October 14. This is the first time Phuong My, a Vietnamese American designer, introduces her elegant and sophisticated creations at the fashion week. She has joined prestigious shows in the U.S., South Korea and Singapore. Fournie, who has joined Paris Haute Couture and Singapore Fashion Week, will bring a luxury collection with inspiration from Paris.

Especially, two winners of the Project Runway Vietnam, Hoang Minh Ha and Ly Giam Tien, and two designers from Ready Couture brand of France, Livia Stoianova and Yassen Samouilov, will join hands to create fashion items for international online shoppers.

Le Thi Quynh Trang, CEO of Multimedia JSC and founder and chairwoman of Vietnam International Fashion Week, said, “Vietnam International Fashion Week is intended to narrow the big gap between local and international fashion industries. We expect that the international fashion community will have a fresh look at Vietnam’s potential fashion market and more local designers and brands will make their mark on world fashion markets.”
