Thanh Bui to judge regional music competition

Singer Thanh Bui will be the only Vietnamese judge at the ASEAN “Be OurRock&Pop Soul” Music Competition 2015, to be held in Viet Nam forthe first time.

 

Singer Thanh Bui will be the only Vietnamese judge at the ASEAN “Be Our Rock&Pop Soul” Music Competition 2015. 

Presented by Viet Nam Music and Arts Education (VMA), inassociation with Trinity College, London, and Boom Box Entertainment,the musical event is aimed at youth under the age of 30 from sixcountries, which are Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Bruneiand Viet Nam.

The eligible contestants (soloists or bands) have toregister and submit their video entries, which will then be reviewed andselected by the judges for the semi-final round on September 6.

The contest’s four judges are Senior Vice-President ofTrinity College, London, Asia Tyler Smith, CEO of record label BMBXEntertainment Kelly Chew, artist manager of Thai singer Tata Young MykeBrown, and Thanh Bui, a judge of Viet Nam Idol 2015.

The winner of the music competition will receive prizesworth up to $25,000 and other prizes from Trinity College and BMBXEntertainment. The final round will take place on September 7 at TheOpera House in HCM City.

Thanh Bui was in the top eight of the Australian Idol 2008contest. He is now the principal of Soul Music Academy in HCM City.
